Matt grew up in Katy, graduating from Katy High School in 1997. During those formative years, he visited Katy Bible Church on a regular basis. It was at KBC that Matt was first drawn to faith in Christ, at KBC that he was baptized, and later, it was at KBC that he was married to his wife, Nikki, in 2001.
Shortly before graduation, Matt became associated with a new church plant in the Northeastern part of the greater Katy area and it was there, in 1999, that he first began to serve in vocational ministry. He continued to serve bi-vocationally through two other church plants in the Katy area, for a total of 14 years. In 2013, the elders of Katy Bible Church called Matt to serve as the lead pastor of KBC, in the wake of the former pastor's retirement after 37 years of faithful ministry.
Matt's undergraduate education was at Houston Baptist University and his graduate education is through Dallas Theological Seminary, where he continues his studies in Pastoral Theology and Practice. Matt and his wife have three energetic boys, aged 15, 10, and 5, that help to ensure that there is never a predictable moment in the Mancini household.
